Oopsy Daisy Launches Two New Art Brands!

San Diego, CA (July 5, 2011) Oopsy daisy, Fine Art For Kids is pleased to announce its launch of Wheatpaste Art Collective and GreenBox Art + Culture.  For the past 12 years, Oopsy daisy has been the leading provider in the U.S.  of specialty art and related products in the juvenile industry, and branching into the young adult and adult markets just makes sense says Amy Winn, Director of Marketing for Oopsy daisy.  “The freshness of our art offering and our color palette translates into every room of the house.  Combining that aesthetic with the quality and service of our made in the USA offering is a win-win for all involved.  Over our years of service in this industry, retailers have learned they can trust us.  Now if they can purchase and ship more from one location to satisfy multiple customer needs, they will save on shipping and save on time spent ordering from different vendors and tracking those shipments.“

The original incentive for the teen line came from retailer requests and Oopsy Co-Founder Tom Capp cites his growing interest in the street art movement as being well timed in its alignment with those requests.  “Our trip to London last summer with our newly teen son got our whole family excited to explore putting something more raw (but still parentally approved) on indoor walls” comments Capp.  Wheatpaste Art Collective, named for the home-brewed “glue” street artists use to tag buildings, launches with more than 300 products including artwork from well-known street artists, with Sket One, Methane Studios and Tedd Kim in the dynamic mix.  The line targets teens and young adults offering stretched canvas art and, for volume orders, adhesive posters that combine the best of decals with the ever-popular poster style.  Suggested retail prices range from $34.99 to $249.00.

GreenBox Art + Culture replaces Studio Avo as the adult art offering of the San Diego art manufacturer.  The line is contemporary and focuses on stretched canvas art, produced in a gallery wrap style or in a modern shadow box frame.  The themes are often abstracted expressions of nature and the color combinations are invigorating and rich.  GreenBox art is selected for its ability to transform a room and become an instant focal point in the interior design of a space.  Artwork sizes range from 14”x14” canvases to the super-sized 48”x48” and 60”x45” and suggested retail pricing ranges from $69.00 to $389.00.

Both new art lines will be showing beginning this July in the company’s permanent showroom (9-B-4)  in Building One of AmericasMart Atlanta, as well as available via their websites for to-the-trade purchase at www.greenboxart.com, www.wheatpaste.com and www.oopsydaisy.com.

MORE ON OOPSY DAISY:
San Diego based Oopsy daisy, Fine Art For Kids, began out of a desire to provide art for children that would engage and inspire.   Since husband and wife team Tom and Karen Capp founded Oopsy daisy in 1999, the company’s collection has grown from a handful of pieces to over 2,500 works of art, created by more than 100 artists from around the world. Oopsy daisy’s line includes their signature stretched canvas wall art, plus an assortment of room décor products such as lamps and growth charts as well as gift items like necklaces for girls, night lights, placemats and more.  For more information on Oopsy daisy and the products they offer please visit www.oopsydaisy.com.

GreenBox Art + Culture, now the parent company of Oopsy daisy, features three brands in its “Box”- the previously mentioned children’s art company, Wheatpaste Art Collective and GreenBox Art.  Together these three lines provide engaging and appropriate art offerings for each stage of life.  In the larger sense, the company’s culture is about made in the USA, giving back and creating a life-long love of artistic efforts.  For more than a decade the San Diego company has been custom printing, building wood frames and hand-stretching in its California facilities.  Since the beginning, it has given cash and product to U.S. based charities that directly affect American families and last year alone the value of its corporate outreach exceeded $200,000.
